Several District 97 students earned medals in the Special Olympics Illinois District A Gymnastics competition held on March 11 in Palatine. These students include:

• Jack Butler from Brooks (three gold, three silver, and a bronze)
• Lorenzo DiNuzzo from Brooks (four gold and two silver)
• Ryan Gravely from Julian (one gold and one silver)
• Cooper Ricks from Lincoln (four gold, one silver and one bronze)
• Jenna Ricks from Brooks (three gold and two silver)
