With the fall and winter holidays just around the corner, people who will be hosting a holiday get-together will be on the hunt for a business where they can quickly and affordably get the party supplies they need to make their events special. Start the Party Store, a new independent party store located at 6250 W Ogden Avenue, has moved into south Berwyn to fill the party needs of the area’s residents. The store officially opened on September 1 and held a ribbon cutting on October 10 in partnership with the Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC).

Start the Party Store offers a large selection of high quality, hand-selected merchandise at discount prices. The 1,850 square foot shop carries a wide variety of seasonal and everyday party items for everything from birthdays and baby showers to Halloween and Thanksgiving. Thomas Braun, owner of Start the Party Store, noted, “My store is built on the principles of value, variety and regular access to new merchandise. My prices are competitive with any other party goods chain and our products are personally reviewed to ensure that they are of the highest quality, best packaging and overall best value.”

Start the Party Store displays over 180 types of foil balloons for every occasion. A stroll down the well-coordinated aisles is a treasure hunt through unique merchandise, including licensed merchandise from personalities like Justin Bieber or popular games such as Angry Birds. The shop offers a broad range of items from wrapping paper and party favors to coordinated plates, napkins and table decorations. The store also has a Wilton Cake Décor section for your baking needs as well as a distinctive collection of greeting cards that are anything but run-of-the-mill.

Start the Party is open on Monday-Friday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Customers can register in-store for a loyalty rewards program that comes with special offers and discounts.
