The Forest Park Review reports that one of Forest Park's oldest liquor stores is on the market.

Famous Liquors, 7714 Madison St., is in talks with Cardinal Wine and Spirits to possibly purchase the location from owners Bud and Peter Schwarzbach.

Famous Liquors is known in the area for its selection of craft beers and imported wines, as well as its cheese section.

The store has been a staple of the Forest Park area since it opened in 1934. It was one of the first stores in Forest Park to get a liquor license.
