Fire crews remain on the scene of an early morning fire that badly damaged the nightclub and surrounding downtown Oak Park businesses.
Authorities were called to the club, 728 Lake St., around 6:30 a.m.

The club suffered "severe smoke damage," said Oak Park Fire Dept. Deputy Chief Ken Klemm. Two adjacent businesses, restaurant and , also suffered smoke damage.
"We're investigating those [businesses] as we speak," Klemm said.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
