MOVIE FUNDRAISER AT THE LAKE
When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday at the Lake Theatre, 1022 Lake St. in Oak Park
Why Go: All proceeds from the showing of How to Train Your Dragon (2010) will benefit the family of Bill Figatner, who died of cancer in December.
Price: $5 tickets

RACE TO NOWHERE SCREENING
When/Where: 4 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 611 Randolph St. in Oak Park
Why Go: Controversial education documentary Race to Nowhere looks at the "high-stakes, high-pressure culture that has invaded our schools and our children's lives"
Price: $10 tickets

CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION
When/Where: 6 p.m. Saturday at The Nineteenth Century Club, 178 Forest Ave. in Oak Park
Why Go: Celebrate the Year of the Dragon 4710 at the Nineteenth Century Club's Benevolence Fundraiser with traditional food, music and dancing demonstrations. Reservations required.
Price: $75 for adults; $25 for students ages 13-16; $15 for children ages 4-12

ETHEL STRING QUARTET with ROBERT MIRABAL
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Dominican University, 7900 Division St. in River Forest
Why Go: "ETHEL, the Julliard-trained string quartet known for blending classical strings with contemporary music, will team up with the Grammy-winning Native American flautist Mirabal to present a program inspired by the sun mythology of Native America."

ROBBIE FULKS AT UNITY TEMPLE
When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Unity Temple, 875 Lake St. in Oak Park
Why Go: The popular singer-songwriter brings his act to the intimate confines of Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece.

ANITA DIAMANT AT OAK PARK TEMPLE
When/Where: 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Oak Park Temple, 1235 N. Harlem Ave.
Why Go: The author of several Jewish-themed nonfiction books will answer audience questions and sign copies of her books, which will be available for purchase at the event.

CHILI FOR CHARITY
When/Where: Noon Sunday at Whole Foods Market, 7245 Lake St. in River Forest
Why Go: Customers are invited to taste the creations of the Whole Foods staff and help decide which local charity will receive a cash prize.
