Let There Be Shoes: DSW to Open in River Forest
Shoe retailer will fill vacant space at the River Forest Town Center.
Filling the vacancy left by Linens N Things in the River Forest Town Center has been a priority for village officials.

It's been rumored for a while, but now it's confirmed: DSW is coming to River Forest.
The Ohio-based shoe retailer recently signed a lease for the 28,000 square feet of space located at the River Forest Town Center. The store will replace Linens N Things.

DSW plans to open its new location in fall 2012, joining other blue chip retailers in the plaza like Walgreen's, Panera Bread and Whole Foods.
Representatives for Oak Brook-based Mid-America Asset Management Inc. said two stores, Chico's and Panera Bread, have also renewed leases at the plaza.

Looks like River Forest is going to get my $ instead of Oak Brook. I have always found shoes there in my popular 8 1/2 size (that size gets sold out quickly) and have recommended DSW to many people.
