Readers Choice: Bike Shops

Looking to start cycling? Need trusty repairs? Get rolling and tell us your favorite bike shop.

There are so many reasons to use a bicycle to get around, not the least of which are saving money and getting healthy.

But maybe you're new to cycling. Intimidated, even. Or maybe you're looking to upgrade from an old bike, or buy something for the kids. Whatever the case, it can be a major purchase. And like any major purchase, there's going to some costs associated with upkeep and maintenance.

So whether you're an amateur rider or a seasoned pro, we want to know who grinds your gears...in a good way.

The winners of Patch's Readers Choice poll are going to get some special recognition, so your feedback is important. Please take a minute to cast your vote in the poll and/or leave a comment on this story.  If we're leaving your favorite off the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it. Polls close at 9 a.m. Friday.

What about our very own school here in Oak Park where you can learn how to fix your own bike? Holistic Cycles which is the school for the Bicycle Guild is on Harrison Street and has night classes for adults.
