River Forest Police Blotter: More Traffic Arrests
The following information was supplied by the River Forest Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
DUI Charge: Caroline Sotelo, 33, of Melrose Park, was charged with drunken driving and other offenses Jan. 21 after she was found slumped behind the wheel of her car that was stopped in the middle of a roadway, police said. Public Works employees removing snow at Chicago Avenue and the Des Plaines River found the car at 3:54 a.m. and called police. She also was charged with improper stopping on a roadway and driving on an expired license, police said.
Traffic Arrest: Shawn T. Anderson, 44, of Maywood, was charged Jan. 21 with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 8000 block of Madison Street, police said. She also was charged with operating a car without insurance, operating a car with expired registration and possession of a suspended driver’s license, police said.
DUI Charge: Ryszard Dlugosz, 36, of Riverside, was charged Jan. 22 with drunken driving after a traffic stop in the 7600 block of North Avenue, police said. He also was charged with improper lane usage and speeding.
Traffic Arrest: Edwin M. Buestan, 20, of Chicago, was charged Jan. 22 with driving on a suspended license after an officer pulled over his car in the 800 block of Harlem Avenue for an obstructed windshield, police said.
Criminal Damage to Property: Locks on the driver side and passenger side doors on a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo parked in the 1000 block of Bonnie Brae Place were punched out on Jan. 22.
Traffic Arrest: Jesus E. Montes, 59, of Stone Park, was charged with driving an uninsured auto, driving on a suspended license and driving while his registration was suspended Jan. 16 after a traffic stop in the 7600 block of North Avenue, police said. Montes, also had an outstanding traffic warrant out of DuPage County.
Traffic Arrest: Danny L. Sanders, 29, of Broadview, was charged with driving on an expired license, driving an auto with no front registration plate and driving without insurance Jan. 16 after a traffic stop in the 8100 block of Lake Street, police said. His license expired in 2006, authorities said.
Traffic Arrest: Rachelle R Faulkner, 34, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license and improper display of registration after a Jan. 16 traffic stop near the 7300 block of North Avenue, police said.
Traffic Arrest: Filipe Flores, 23, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a license, driving with a broken tail light and driving with an obstructed windshield Jan. 16 after a traffic stop at North and Harlem avenues, police said.
Traffic Arrest: Lamoyne Harris, 32, of Chicago was charged with driving on a suspended license, driving with an expired registration and driving without insurance Jan. 17 after a traffic stop in the 800 block of Park Avenue, police said. Police stopped Harris’s van after an officer saw a van without a front registration plate driving north on Park.
Traffic Arrest: Corbett Atkins, 40, of Villa Park, was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving while his license was suspended Jan. 17 after a traffic stop in the 7600 block of Washington Boulevard, police said. Police pulled over Atkins’ car after an officer on patrol determined that his plates were suspended.
Traffic Arrest: Segunda M. Acero, 39, of Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended license Jan. 17 after a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Harlem Avenue, police said. Acero had no license but his driving privileges had been suspended for previous infractions, police said. He also was charged with driving with an expired registration and driving without insurance.
Traffic Arrest: Edgar Duenas-Mendoza, 24, of Berwyn, was charged Jan. 18 with driving without a license and driving without insurance after an officer he was pulled over for speeding near Gale Avenue and Madison Street, police said. He also was charged with speeding and failing to signal.
Traffic Arrest: Ernesto Ozuna, 24, of Chicago , was charged with driving without a license after a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Thatcher Avenue, police said. An officer pulled over Ozuna after noticing that his car had only one headlamp.
Traffic Arrest: Zenobia F. Puckett, 31, of Oak Park, was charged Jan. 19 with driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance after an officer noticed a driver talking on a cell phone near Roosevelt Middle School, 7560 Oak Ave., police said. Puckett also was charged with improper use of a cell phone in a school zone.
