Taylor Swift Coming to Trinity?
Only if the superstar gets enough votes in an online contest. Here's how to make it happen.
Trinity High School students want to bring superstar singer Taylor Swift to River Forest, and they need your help to make it happen.
Winners of the online contest, sponsored by Chegg, Papa John's, VH1 Storytellers, Cover Girl and American Greetings, will get $10,000 for their music department and the chance for a performance by Swift at the school. A few things you need to know:
• Here's the link to cast your vote. To vote there, you'll have to log in with Facebook.
• "Bonus" votes are available by “liking” the official Facebook pages of contest sponsors, or by downloading Taylor Swift's new single through the contest.
• Voting is open until Sept. 23.
Good luck, Blazers!
Update: From Trinity's Patti Williams — We really want to win and need the community to help! The girls are so excited...not only for the opportunity to win the $10,000 for their music department, but also for the opportunity for Taylor Swift to perform at Trinity!
What would they do with the money ? They said lets think big! Maybe choral risers and acoustical shell, orchestra instruments and funding...so many opportunities! Exciting! Trinity has a fantastic chorus which would truly be enhanced and be even more amazing with this opportunity! Check them out at the December 19th concert...hopefully they will have their new equipment then...so people can see what their votes provided! But we have to win so let's get out the votes!
