There's Still Time to Have a Say on Direction of OPRF
Deadline for taking survey is Monday, focus groups will be held Monday and Dec. 1.
Officials are looking for the demographics of respondents to more closely align with those of the high school. A vast majority of those taking the survey are white. Approximately 10.78 percent of the survey takers are black, 1.64 percent multiracial, 3.16 percent Hispanic, 2.4 percent Asian/Pacific Islander, 0.11 percent Native American and 5.04 percent of the respondents did not answer that question, school district officials said.
All parents, students, and community members are encouraged to take the survey, particularly if you belong to an underrepresented group. If you have misplaced the survey code you received via email or regular mail, you can get a new code or a paper version of the survey by contacting email@example.com or 708-434-3511. Students can get a new code by requesting one at the Welcome Center, just inside the main entrance.
In addition, all adults are encouraged to participate in focus groups that will help the district assess its future course. The first session was conducted Saturday, Nov. 17. The next sessions are from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 and from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. They all will be held in Room 213 at the high school.
