This is Macy - She Needs a Home
Want to give a pet a loving home? Here's how.
Each weekend, Patch will present a cat and a dog available for adoption through the Animal Care League in Oak Park.
Cats get Saturdays, dogs are on Sundays.
This is Macy, a 3-year-old German Shepherd. She's an affectionate dog that came to the shelter as a stray. She appears to have had little experience in life during her years in the world. Everything seems new to her, and she's nervous at first, but is not skittish.
Macy's foster mom reports that Macy has made great strides in her potty training, no accidents in the last two weeks! However, crate training is a must for Macy in her new home until she gets the lay of the land. Macy will need an understanding adopter who will take her to an obedience class or two. With time and a committed adopter, she will gain confidence and become a terrific companion.
Since Macy is much happier in her foster home, she can be seen at the Barker Shop by appointment. Call 708-354-0400 to schedule a time to meet Macy.
You can visit some of her pals at the ACL's office, 1011 Garfield St. For hours, call 708-848-8155.
