Volunteers for the Illinois Solar Energy Association hung out at Forest Avenue and Lake Street to show off their solar powered mini-home.

There was lots to see and do in Oak Park on Saturday at the Green Living and Learning Tours.

It was amazing to see all the projects Oak Park residents are working on to promote environmentally friendly living in the community. From bee keeping to waste water systems to solar panels, there was more to do than anyone one person could manage in a single day.

I already can't wait to see what's in the guide for next year's tours.

Take a look at our photos for a taste of the activities.
