Dominican University will present a lecture on Tuesday, January 22, by prominent anti-racist writer and activist Tim Wise as part of a week of activities honoring the legacy and mission of Martin Luther King, Jr. Wise will speak at 6 p.m. in the Martin Recital Hall.
Wise, a vocal critic of white privilege and fervent supporter of affirmative action, is the author of five books, including White Like Me: Reflections on Race From a Privileged Son and, most recently, Colorblind: The Rise of Post-Racial Politics and the Retreat From Racial Equity.
He was included in 2010 as one of Utne Reader magazine's "25 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World."
