More About Fenwick High School
Founded in 1929, Fenwick High School "has stood for the full and harmonious development of its students according to their capacity."
Today the school takes students from 114 parishes, 150 elementary schools and about 65 communities across the area.
School officials boast of the school's academic record — Fenwick students have claimed state and national recognition in a number of academic areas — and the prowess of its athletic teams, which have earned myriad sectional and state championships.
Hundreds of Fenwick students have earned Presidential Awards, have been named Illinois State Scholars or were considered National Merit semifinalists.
A stat sheet provided by the school shows that graduating students are accepted into colleges and universities at a rate of 100 percent.
According to its website, the school's educational philosophy stems from the following: "importance of the human person, the Catholic tradition, the Dominican heritage, and the liberal arts curriculum."
