DESCRIPTION:The Oak Park Arms retirement community presents a free radio
reenactment group called Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear\, who will p
erform the classic radio show\, &ldquo\;Beware of the Back Seat\,&rdquo\
 ; at 2 p.m. Sunday\, Sept. 18\, at the Oak Park Arms\, 408 S. Oak Park A
ve. Every month Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear presents free shows f
rom the Golden Age of Radio to the public\, residents\, families and fri

Thrilling Days of Yesteryear\, the group&rsquo\;s founders Ben Dooley an
d Pam Turlow\, husband and wife\, decided to present a show every month
(instead of every other month) and tie in a charity with each performanc
 e. Audience members can give free will a donation. The American Red Cros
s will be the beneficiary of the opening performance of the season.\nThe
shows are very popular with residents and people from the community.&nb
sp\; Some bring their children or grandchildren to demonstrate what &ldq
uo\;pre-TV&rdquo\; entertainment was like.\nDooley and Turlow establishe
d a connection with The Oak Park Arms in September of 2002\, when Turlow
 &rsquo\;s father became a resident. They&rsquo\;ve been volunteering/per
forming at the Arms ever since. Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear is co
