District 97 approves security camera purchase: The Oak Park Elementary School District 97 approved the purchase and installation of 79 security cameras to install at its eight elementary school entrances in an effort to curb vandalism. We wrote a story about it before the board meeting. Read about the plan here.
Back to School drive: Oak Park's Southtown District is running a back to school drive to support local children through Aug. 23.
Thursday Night Out plan? John Ludy Puleo is up from 5-7 p.m. Paulinho Garcia will take the stage from 7-9 p.m.
