Art on Harrison Celebrates 20 Years in Oak Park: Two days, nine blocks and one purpose: celebrate local business, art and culture. The annual Art on Harrison event is returning to Oak Park, and this year the number that matters most is 20.

Oak Park Shooting May be Gang-Related: Police: A 26-year-old Chicago man who was shot in the abdomen in an Oak Park alley Thursday morning has been released from Loyola Hospital, according to a news release from the Village of Oak Park. The shooting at about 10:15 a.m. Thursday in an alley near the 1200 block of North Austin Boulevard appears to be a gang-related incident that spilled over from Chicago into Oak Park, according to the release.

Bizarre news with Oak Park tie
: A man and woman accused of stealing the identities of celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Ashton Kutcher has Oak Park ties, according to an affidavit filed Aug. 6 in U.S. District Court and published by Tampa Bay news network Bay News 9. Read about it here.

Mathnasium to Open in Pleasant District
: The math learning center for children in early childhood through high school will open at 212 S. Marion St. in the Pleasant District.
