Community Leadership Program Celebrates 5th Anniversary

The Community Leadership Program (CLP), co-sponsored by the Oak Park River Forest Community Foundation, Communityworks and Dominican University’s Brennan School of Business, is holding its 5th Anniversary reception Friday, March 14 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Nineteenth Century Club in Oak Park.

Since 2009, the CLP has developed emerging leaders within our community by offering them an intensive nine-month program focusing on creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, strategic planning and staff motivation. Through meetings with business, government and nonprofit leaders, participants have had the opportunity to learn more about the essential challenges facing our communities.  The program has led to a number of successful initiatives tackling sustainability, education and community development issues.

The CLP is currently accepting applications for the 2014-15 cohort of participants. For more information on the program, visit business.dom.edu/community-leadership-program.
