Oak Park/Elmwood Park native Martino named to new hospital system board

Rocco Martino, who grew up in the Oak Park/Elmwood Park area, has been named to the 13-member Board of Trustees of the new health system created by the merger of Edward Hospital & Health Services and Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare.  Martino had served on the Edward Hospital Board of Trustees since 2003.

Martino is Co-Founder and Partner at LaSalle Capital Group in Chicago, a leading microcap or lower middle-market private equity fund that makes control investments.  He is a CPA and earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago.

The merger, finalized on July 1, creates one of the larger integrated health systems in the state comprised of three hospitals – Edward, Elmhurst Memorial and Linden Oaks at Edward – with revenues of about $1 billion and more than 50 outpatient locations across a service area of 1.7 million residents.  The system employs nearly 7,700, has more than 1,680 physicians on staff and 1,700 volunteers.
