Photographer & Pleasant Home Foundation Team Up on Holiday Portrait Special

A local photographer is teaming up with the Pleasant Home Foundation to create memorable holiday portraits—with all of the session fee proceeds benefiting the historic landmark that has long been home to the Oak Park Historical Society.

Sonya Gilbert Photography is booking 45-minute sessions for families, and pets are welcome. The $99 fee goes entirely to the Pleasant Home Foundation. Pleasant Home is a Prairie-style home with unique and breathtaking architectural designs that create a charming backdrop for family portraits.

All orders placed by December 10th will be delivered by December 20th.

Sonya Gilbert said she wants not only to support the organization financially, but expose more residents to the splendor of the home—all photo shoots will be at the home that was designed in 1897.

The structure was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1972 and was declared a National Historic Landmark by the United States Department of the Interior in 1996. Pleasant Home is a vibrant cultural destination offering a year-round schedule of educational programs, community events and cultural performances.
