Students Partner with Local Charities to Throw “Jammin’ with Jane” Fundraiser in Chicago “A Dollar For Your Dreams”

Columbia College marketing Communication students plan, promote and publicize a final exam project called “Jammin With Jane.”

This upcoming event will be hosted by Shriners Hospitals for Children on Saturday, December 7th, from 12 noon – 4 pm.  There is no entrance fee but donations are appreciated.

Jammin With Jane will include live entertainment, food and drinks, winter themed games, a 50/50 raffle and silent auction to benefit the charities. Some of the charities include: The Mental Health Association of Greater Chicago’s 2Tough2Bully™ Program, The Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Chicago Metamorphosis Orchestra Project, Harmony, Hope & Healing, and Jewels, all of which are dedicated to help children and impact the community in a positive way.

“These organizations do such great work and really deserve more recognition and support; one of our main goals is to inform the community about the programs they offer,” states Jane Canepa, class instructor. “By raising awareness, the non-for-profits involved will be able to spread their messages further and hopefully gain more funding for their programs.”

“Jammin’ with Jane” will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.  The event is being hosted by Shriners Hospitals for Children, located at 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707. There is no fee to enter, but donations are appreciated.
