On March 10th, at the River Forest Community Center, 8020 Madison, River Forest Township Assessor Pamela Kende hosted a community outreach that provided help to residents with questions about the reassessment process, including how they may appeal their own assessment.
Also on hand were staff from the Cook County Assessor's Office.
Over the past four years, Kende and her deputy have assisted with more than 1,000 appeals. They have also helped residents who have made inquiries about their property tax bills, exemptions and questions related to assessments.
The session was designed to help as many people as possible understand the triennial reassessment process.
