Animal Care League Hosts Holiday Bazaar

The Animal Care League will host its 27th Holiday Bazaar on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

will host its 27th annual Holiday Bazaar today and Dec. 1, to help raise funds for the shelter and the work the organization does for homeless pets.

The event kicks off today at 3 p.m. and continues until 9 p.m. at a new location this year at 6930 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Oak Park. The event continues on Saturday Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Those looking to support the shelter in addition to doing some holiday shopping can expect plenty of gift ideas for two-legged and four-legged friends, baked goods and decorations for the home.

Local music will be provided as well, and shoppers can also browse the collection of Silpada jewelry available this year.

Kids can head over to the Kid's Corner while you shop for fun activities, and you can even bring the whole family in (pets included) for a picture with Santa.

The Animal Care League is a non-profit animal shelter founded in 1973 to help animals in Oak Park, River Forest, Berwyn, Forest Park and other surrounding communities. The shelter adopts out over 600 pets each year. In addition to providing a home for homeless animals, the shelter also provides low-cost spay and neuter services and education.
