Children's Winter Clothing Wanted for Needy

Collection by Newcomers and Neighbors Club of Oak Park and River Forest to benefit Share Our Space

If you're running out of closet space or your youngsters have outgrown their duds here's a great place to take them that will help others.

Newcomers and Neighbors is having a children's winter clothing collection to benefit Share Our Space, a non-profit that collects gently-used children's clothing and supplies and distributes them to low-income families. 

The event will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Divine Consign's new space, 809 S. Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park .

The evening is free. Those attending are being asked to donate gently used/new children's winter clothing sizes newborn to size 4.

Bring an item that night and folks will get a 10-percent discount coupon good to buy merchandise at Divine Consign that evening. Limit one coupon per attendee.

Items also can be donated from Oct. 14 to Oct. 17 at Divine Consign.
