In Wake of Murder, Oak Park Police To Host Community Meeting

Last week's slaying prompts neighborhood meeting.

Oak Park's top cops will host a community meeting tonight in the wake of last week's homicide in the 800 block of South East Avenue.

Police Chief Rick Tanksley, Dep. Chief Anthony Ambrose and Sgt. David Jacobson, who leads the village's community policing division, will all be on hand to discuss crime issues.

The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Oak Park Conservatory, 615 Garfield St., located less than a mile from the garage where 41-year-old Pedro Gurrola Jr. was found dead.
