Each weekend, Patch will present a cat and a dog available for adoption through the Animal Care League in Oak Park.
Cats get Saturdays, dogs are on Sundays.
This is BJ. He's a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix, just 7 months old.

He doesn't come with previous training so an owner committed to providing some of that, along with a crate he can call his own, would put BJ directly on the path to success. He'd prefer an active home where he can get lots of exercise and playtime. He can also relax with the best of them so a comfy bed to lay on after a good run would basically be BJ's idea of Nirvana. If you've been looking for an active dog and waiting for summer before adding that companion to your home, the time is now! BJ will have his bags packed in a matter of minutes. BJ needs a home with children that are used to being around larger, active dogs.
