Oak Park Native Named to Emanuel's Affirmative Action Advisory Board

Mesirow Financial today announced that investment research analyst, Cory Fulton, (30), a key staff member of the Mesirow Financial Wealth Management group, was appointed by Mayor Rahm Emanuel to the City of Chicago’s Affirmative Action Advisory Board. The board oversees the city’s procurement decisions as they relate to minority and women-owned businesses in public contracting.

Fulton leads the investment research efforts of the Investment Advisory group at Mesirow Financial. He is also a member of the firm’s 401(k) Committee, as well as the advisor to the firm’s Executive Deferred Compensation Plan. Previously, Fulton was an associate portfolio manager for Northern Trust Global Investment. He is a Level II Candidate in the Certified Financial Analyst® (CFA) Program. Fulton received a bachelor of science degree from Cornell University. He is a member of several organizations including the CFA Institute, CFA Society of Chicago, Cornell University Alumni Association of Chicago, the Black Ivy League Alumni Association of Chicago and the Chicago Business Leadership Council. Fulton lives in Chicago and grew up in Oak Park, Illinois.
