Oak Park Police Blotter: Snow Blower Swiped

Also reported stolen in this week: A digital camera, a bicycle, a garage door opener and a pillow case.

The following items are taken from  daily summary reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurs, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Burglary:
A digital camera, $10 in change, a computer, computer monitor and a pillow case were stolen from a home in the 700 block of South Harvey Avenue on Thursday, March 3. Total loss estimated at $1,969.

Burglary:
A garage opener valued at $50 was stolen from a car parked in a garage in the 1200 block of North Linden Avenue on Thursday, March 3.

Theft:
The rear license plate belonging to a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Fair Oaks Avenue was stolen between Wednesday, March 2 and Thursday, March 3. Loss estimate unknown.

Theft:
A pink wallet valued at $59 was stolen from an student at the school, 201 N. Scoville Ave., on Tuesday, March 1.

Burglary:
A red and silver Toro snowblower valued at $600 was stolen from an unlocked garage in the 100 block of Le Moyne Parkway on Tuesday, March 1.

Burglary:
A men's 26-inch Trek bicycle and its lock were stolen from an unlocked garage in the 300 block of Wesley Avenue between Monday, Feb. 28 and Tuesday, March 1. Loss estimated at $1,000.

Theft:
A catalytic converter and exhaust pipes belonging to a vehicle parked in the 200 block of North Scoville Avenue were stolen on Monday, Feb. 28. Loss estimated at $2,000.

Theft Charge:
Toi M. Smith, 46, of 8725 S. Paxton St. in Chicago, was charged with theft in the 1100 block of Lake Street on Monday, Feb. 28, police said.

Theft:
A flat screen TV was stolen from a display stand at , 1144 Lake St., on Monday, Feb. 28. Loss estimated at $350.

Residential Burglary Charge:
Three juveniles were stopped for residential burglary in the 300 block of Ontario Street on Monday, Feb. 28, police said.

Burglary: A power drill and its case valued at a combined $450 was stolen from a van parked in the 700 block of Hayes Avenue on Monday, Feb. 28.

Theft:
A backpack containing keys, ID and a cell phone, valued at a combined $150, was stolen from , 111 Madison St., after it was left unattended on Monday, Feb. 28.

Vehicle Theft:
A red 2006 Acura RSX hatchback was stolen from the 400 block of Wisconsin Avenue between Feb. 25 and Monday, Feb. 28. Loss estimated at $9,000.

Criminal Damage:
The overhead door of a garage in the 400 block of Wisconsin Avenue was damaged after it was lifted or pried open on Feb. 27. Estimated damage $150.

Robbery Charge:
A juvenile from Chicago turned himself on Feb. 27, more than a week after committing a robbery in the 0-100 block of Chicago Avenue, police said.

Criminal Damage:
The trunk lid of a vehicle parked in the 900 block of South Wesley Avenue was scratched with a sharp object, causing an estimated $200 in damage, between Feb. 26 and Feb. 27.

Criminal Damage:
The front driver's side bumper of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of North Grove Avenue was kicked, causing three dents, on Feb. 26. Damage estimated at $500.

Theft:
An iPod Touch valued at $250 was removed from an open drawer in an office in the 400 block of South Ridgeland Avenue between Jan. 25 and Feb. 11.
