Karate Classes for All Ages: The Park District of Oak Park and The River Forest Park District will both be offering karate this Fall Semester.  Taught by instructors from the Illinois Shotokan Karate Clubs under the direction of Chief Instructor, John DiPasquale, a 7th degree black belt.

Northwestern College Launches Online Hybrid Option to its Paralegal Program:  This week Northwestern College announced its new Paralegal Hybrid Online Program (taught primarily online, but with limited on-campus classes) which will launch during the upcoming Fall Quarter. Students who complete the two-year program (100 quarter credit hours) will be awarded an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Paralegal.

Oak Park-River Forest based Chicago Lightning baseball team strikes in Cooperstown, NY: The locally based Chicago Lightning baseball team recently finished up a successful run at Dreams Park in Cooperstown, New York. The team is headed by longtime coach and River Forest resident John Lynch, who has brought a team to this tournament for over 12 years.
