Rededication of Taylor Park on Saturday

New pathways, wetland area and more will re-open to the public.

Residents are invited the grand re-opening of Taylor Park, scheduled to take place 10 a.m. Saturday.

At 11.75 acres, Taylor Park, 400 W. Division St. is the Park District of Oak Park's second largest facility.

The site master plan for Taylor Park's renovations was completed in 2008. The renovations include replacing and expanding the existing playground with ADA accessible equipment, upgrading the tennis courts, installing an open air shelter and new walkways in the park’s interior. New landscaping was planted.

Other features include a comfort station/restroom, tot lot, soccer field, a multi-purpose field, six lighted tennis courts, group picnic area, sledding hill, drinking fountain and floral display.
