Snowfall Totals from Weekend Storm; More Snow Expected Tuesday, Wednesday

So far, 50 inches of snow has been recorded this winter season in Chicago. Between two to six more inches of snow is expected Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday.

This past weekend the Chicago area made it into the history books as the 20th snowiest winter season since 1884 with a total of 50 inches of snow measured so far at O'Hare.

And we have plenty of winter left to go. In fact, more snow is is expected to begin Tuesday afternoon and continue through Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Between two to six inches could fall over the course of the storm in coming days with more snow expected near the Interstate 80 corridor and less snowfall expected for communities closer to the Wisconsin border, according to the National Weather Service.

High wind gusts could create blowing and drifting snow Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
