This is Andy - He Needs a Home

Want to give a pet a loving home? Here's how.

Each weekend, Patch will present a cat and a dog available for adoption through the Animal Care League in Oak Park.

Cats get Saturdays, dogs are on Sundays.

In appearance, our handsome longhaired Andy resembles a Nebelung cat. His solid grey coat is luxurious with his beautiful eyes in striking contrast.

Andy has quite the story. You see, before Andy originally arrived to ACL back in 2009, he was locked in a closet for 10 hours a day. Happily, Andy was adopted when he was around 2 years old. I wish that his story ended here but it doesn't.

This affectionate cat came back to ACL when his owner passed away. Despite Andy's hard life, it has not broken his spirit. He has great affection for people and is friendly and outgoing. Andy gets along with respectful felines and will do well in a multi-cat household. He's curious with new surroundings. This sweet guy is looking for someone to give him the proper care (including regular brushing), as well as the love and affection that he so deserves.

He is recommended for respectful children over the age of 10. Andy has a reduced adoption fee during our "Senior Feline" Promotion. His adoption fee is $40.00 until 11/30/12. Andy also goes home with a "goodie bag" and a free raffle ticket to win a custom made cat scratcher.

You can visit Andy and his pals. at the ACL's office, 1011 Garfield St. For hours, call 708-848-8155.
