Each weekend, Patch will present a cat and a dog available for adoption through the Animal Care League.
Cats get Saturday, dogs get Sunday.
This is Ava, a 2-year-old pit bull mix. She's an active gal that appeared at the ACL as a stray, so we don't know anything about her background. What we see, though, is a very high energy dog that wants a family willing to teach her some manners and help her burn off that energy. An active home with resilient kids over 5 years old would be best. She'd also benefit from an experienced dog owner who can address her jumping and lack of manners. A few obedience classes and some active play is sure to make Ava a good companion.
