This is Jelly - He Needs a Home

Want to give a pet a loving home? Here's how.

Each weekend, Patch will present a cat and a dog available for adoption through the Animal Care League in Oak Park.

Cats get Saturdays, dogs are on Sundays. Why? Alphabetical order.

Jelly, a 1-year-old domestic shorthair, was originally brought to ACL by Forest Park Animal Control. This outgoing and friendly guy was adopted but was returned seven months later. He went to a home with young children that never had a cat as a pet before. And unfortunately, the children weren't ready for Jelly and Jelly wasn't ready for the small children. He became stressed out and his adopter thought it best to bring Jelly back.

This handsome grey and white tabby gets along with other felines and would do well in a multi-cat household. Jelly has an all around great personality. He loves to chill out at the top of the cat tree and he also loves to play. Jelly is a very sweet and loveable boy and is recommended for children over the age of 10.

Visit Jelly and other pets at the ALC's office, 1011 Garfield St. For hours, call 708-848-8155.
