This is Zander - He Needs a Home

Want to give a pet a loving home? Here's how.

Each weekend, Patch will present a cat and a dog available for adoption through the Animal Care League in Oak Park.

Cats get Saturdays, dogs are on Sundays.

This is Zander, a 12-year-old domestic shorthair. He found his way to ACL after
wandering into a resident's basement. This big guy is very affectionate and friendly. He does not enjoy being picked up and carried, but he is willing to jump into any lap for a good petting session. Even though Zander is a domestic short-hair, he will have to be brushed often to avoid his fur from matting and to keep him looking handsome. Zander does not do well with other felines, so he will have to be your "One and Only" kitty. He is also recommended for families with children ages 10 and older.

Meet Zander and other pets at the ALC's office, 1011 Garfield St. For hours, call 708-848-8155.
