The Avalon String Quartet Plays Beethoven at The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association

The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association presents "Russian Feast, Part 1," part of a concert series by the Avalon String Quartet performing the complete Beethoven String Quartet Cycle. Opus 59, dedicated to Count Rasumovsky, incorporates Russian folk themes into its three quartets. The first is philosophical, broad, and regal. (The second and third will be heard at the next concert on May 30.) All series concerts are held on Wednesday afternoons at 3:00 at the Charitable Association's historic building at 178 Forest in Oak Park. Each concert has a designated local organization to which freewill donations may be made. This concert will benefit the Hemingway Foundation.
