Bellwood Public Library Job Fair

The Bellwood Public Library Job Fair returns on Wednesday, April 11th from 1 to 4 pm.  The Job Fair is free to job seekers and employers.  The Fair will be held at the Library, at 600 Bohland Avenue in Bellwood.

Hyatt Regency Rosemont, Marriott, Aerotek Staffing, Lab Corp, Premier Home Health, Banner Personnel, Express Employment Professionals, Optistaffing, Paramount Staffing, UPP Business, Staples, Vision Works, Westway Coach, Ray Graham and the Chicago Zoological Society which manages Brookfield Zoo. 

Two days before the Job Fair, the Library will also host a program on “Productive Online Applications” presented by Eileen Vesey on Monday, April 9th at 7 pm.  Vesey is on the staff at the Westchester office of the Workers Assistance Committee of the Chicago Federation of Labor.

Folks who are interested in attending the Job Fair should call the Library’s Reference Desk at 708/547-7393 x 12 to register.

Elizabeth Neill, Bellwood Library Outreach Librarian and event organizer, notes that job seekers should dress professionally, as if they were going to a job interview.  Job seekers should also bring a dozen or so resumes to the Job Fair.  Public computers will also be available to job seekers to permit them to apply for jobs on the spot.
