The Yorkville Big Band, featuring more than 20 musicians, has been entertaining large enthusiastic audiences for nearly 20 years. The band comes to play at the Howard Mohr Community Center, 7640 W. Jackson Blvd. in Forest Park, in this exciting event that helps usher in Celebrating Seniors Week throughout Forest Park, Oak Park and River Forest.
Saxophones, trombones, trumpets, piano, bass, drums, guitar and vocalists make beautiful music that covers a large span, from the sounds of the 1940s and '50s, to new modern arrangements of contemporary popular songs.
