Ridge Art to Open Pop-up Gallery on Harrison Street

OAK PARK (June 12, 2012) – Ridge Art will open a pop-up gallery in the Oak Park Arts District for six weeks in July and August. The pop-up gallery will feature all of Ridge Art’s African and Latin American collections including masks, works on paper from Cuba and East and West Africa, Maasai beadwork, textiles from a variety of places and much more at significantly reduced prices.

The pop-up gallery will be located at Gallery Pink, 149 Harrison Street in Oak Park. The gallery will open Thursday, July 19, and will close on Sunday, August 26. The hours will be Thursdays through Sundays, 1-5 p.m. and by appointment. The gallery will be open until 9 p.m. on Third Fridays in the arts district on July 20 and August 17.

“We are reducing our physical inventory to focus solely on high-end Haitian art sold primarily through our website,” states owner Laurie Beasley. “Folks can check out many of the pieces to be featured in the pop-up gallery on our website, but the prices on the site do not reflect the discounted prices. Starting July 19 clients may call, email or text us for the discounted prices. This will be a great opportunity to acquire some really good art at very reasonable prices.”
