Winter Wonderland Variety Show

The Oak Park Arms' popular Winter Wonderland Variety Show will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, in the ballroom at the Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The event is free, and the public is warmly welcome.

Hosted by Desi Vasquez and accompanied by Jeremy Kahn, the event is a colorful holiday celebration featuring the Oak Park Arms Chorus and residents of the Oak Park Arms. Favorite holiday songs and lots of cheer will take place. Resident Howard McClain, a retired professional baritone, will perform a gospel version of "Noel."

In addition, resident Jessie Huizenga's son, David Huizenga, who is a professional music composer for Bill Kurtis Productions, will sing. His daughter, Natalie Huizenga, singer/song writer from Boston, will be a guest since she is on holiday break from Berklee Music School.

The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.

The show is free and open to the public. Call Jill Wagner at 708-386-4040 or visit http://www.oakparkarms.com.
