'You be the Critic' at Oak Park Arms

Oak Park Arms presents its popular series, “Film View and Review: You be the Critic,” at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at the Oak Park Arms retirement community, 408 S. Oak Park Avenue.
 
Radio announcer Dan Kane hosts, “View and Review” with the 1995 film, ‘Sense and Sensibility’ starring Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, and Hugh Grant.
 
After their father passes way three sisters and their mother are forced to bear the misfortune of poverty when their inheritance is given solely to their father’s first son from a previous marriage. The three sisters and their mother must endure to make ends meet while also overcoming love and loss.
 
Following the film, Kane will lead a lively discussion.
 
The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent living and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
