Why Go: Minnesota-based folk act Bill and Kate Isles return to Oak Park for a night of humor and folksy duets.

Why Go: Who says summer is winding down? Make sundaes during an old-fashioned ice cream social, then grab a blanket and enjoy a screening of How to Train Your Dragon.

MICROBREW REVIEW
When/Where: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday on Marion Street between Lake Street and North Boulevard in Oak Park.
Why Go: More than 30 microbreweries will be pouring 90-some craft beers in this fourth annual event, which has become one of the Midwest's best beer tastings. Proceeds from the eco-friendly event benefit Seven Generations Ahead, an Oak Park nonprofit centered on sustainability.

Why Go: "Let there be pickles 365 days a year!" Hard to argue, and this class features a demonstration, an introduction to canning session and taste tests.
