AMERICAN MUSIC FESTIVAL AT FITZGERALD'S
When/Where: Friday through Sunday at FitzGerald's, 6615 Roosevelt Road in Berwyn
Why Go: The 31st annual installment of this music fest brings out jazz, roots, bluegrass, blues and Americana artists for a three-day street fest at the legendary Midwestern roadhouse.

TASTE OF INDEPENDENCE DAY
When/Where: Noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at , 7245 Lake St.

OAK PARK FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
When/Where: The parade begins 10 a.m. Monday at Ridgeland Avenue and Adams Street and marches north along Ridgeland to Augusta Street, then turns east to disperse near Whittier Elementary School at Harvey Avenue.
Why Go: It's the Fourth. We're in one of America's greatest village's and the weather is supposed to be picture perfect for spectators and participants.

OAK PARK FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS
When/Where:
Dusk at the stadium of , East Avenue and Lake Street.
Why Go: Pack into the bleachers with your friends; "ooh" and "ahh" with your neighbors for this annual tradition.
