Why Go: Local restaurants and merchants will be out in full force for the weekly summertime series. In addition to restaurant specials, live music is on the agenda: first with jazz artist Marquis from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and "Texas jump blues" from Felix and the Cats from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

JAZZ IN THE BISTRO

ART OF & ABOUT BASEBALL
When/Where: 1 p.m. Thursday and Friday; Noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at , 17 Harrison St. in Oak Park.
Why Go: Enjoy America's pastime through the paintings, illustrations and photographs by artists Elizabeth Gaylord, Paul Lewis, Mark Hadhazy and Stephen Smith.
