"Mom's Week" Is Coming to Whole Foods Market - River Forest: Here at Whole Foods Market, we love moms (Dads, your day is coming.)  With Mother's Day just a couple of weeks away, we wanted to thank to the ladies that make hugs a little tighter, dinner more delicious and life full of love. This is why we've planned a week packed with opportunities tell Mom she rocks!

Top Students Compete at Annual VEX Robotics Competition World Championship: More than 10,000 students from 20 countries competed for the winning title at the annual VEX Robotics Competition World Championship. More than just an exercise in programming and driving robots, this competition helps kids turn robotics into an engaging hands-on sport that is riveting to watch.

Runners for Boston: Running stores all across America came together on Monday, April 22nd in support for Boston, and The Competitive Foot in Oak Park participated. Runners for Boston was a fun run to bring the community of runners together and show our support for those affected in Boston on Monday, April 15.

River Forest Park District Community Survey: In early May, many River Forest residents will be receiving a River Forest Park District Community Survey.  The Survey will be distributed to 2,000 households, soliciting resident input in determining the recreation needs of the community. 

Movie Review: "42": With a PG-13 rating, however, 42 finds itself in that somewhat indecisive space between depicting the particularly harsh brutality of 1940s racial America and offering the more palatable family-friendly movie experience.

Oak Park Residents Needed to Make Strides to End Breast Cancer: The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® 5K fundraising walk on Saturday, May 11 at 8 am at Oak Park/River Forest High School - South Field will help the Society do the most for people with breast cancer today to end the disease tomorrow.

Shakespeare Comedy at Triton College: Triton College brings Shakespeare's well-loved comedy (pun intended) A Midsummer Night's Dream to the Collins Center, 2000 5th Ave, River Grove May 3-5, & 9-12.
