Artists to provide more splashes of color to concrete embankments supporting Oak Park train tracks.

Riders of the rails, your commute is about to get a little brighter.

For the third consecutive year, artists will take to the concrete walls supporting the train tracks running through Oak Park.

It's part of a collaboration between the Village of Oak Park and the Oak Park Arts Council. This year, organizers hope to bring 15 artists to the project, TribLocal reports.

Selection of the first crop of contributors is already underway, but artists can apply for the remaining slots by visiting this page. Artists will receive $1,000 — $500 for materials and $500 after completion.
