PHOTOS: Summer Session at Creative Changes

With class, kids photos have style.

We love submitted photos, so it was a pleasure for this set to arrive in our inbox over the weekend. They're from Christopher Wallace over at Creative Changes, an Oak Park Arts District storefront offering a wealth of options for artistic output — including this photography lesson. From Wallace:

"We had a one week photography class for young students. They ranged from 8 years old to 11 years old. We let them shoot for three days then taught them how to print, mount, hang, and set up a show. The unique thing about these photos is they are not edited, cropped, color corrected, or modified in any way. This is how they shot, I taught them to create a good photo inside the camera and they created great work. We had an assignment on portraiture, environmental portraiture, and texture detail."

Thanks to Wallace, and the students, for the contributions. If you have a photo gallery, home movie or story you'd like to share, just e-mail me at casey@patch.com and let's make arrangements.
