District 90 Moves Forward on Roosevelt Plan, Plans Sept. 24 Community Meeting

District invites residents and other invested community members to meet with the board and district administrators Sept. 24.

The River Forest School District 90 Board of Education will move forward as scheduled with its Action Steps Plan for Roosevelt Middle School, with plans to meet with community stakeholders this month, according to a message from the school district.

In addition to ongoing work by the Roosevelt Exterior Project Planning Committee, which includes Roosevelt faculty, staff, and parent representatives, the Board invited representatives of stakeholder organizations to provide additional feedback in a face-to-face meeting on Aug. 21. Stakeholders included the River Forest Public Library, River Forest Park District, River Forest Tennis Club, and the Village of River Forest.

The district is also inviting residents and other invested community members to meet with the board and district administrators Sept. 24. 

"While the Board is aiming to finalize the exterior renovation plan by the end of the calendar year, they are committed to taking whatever time is needed to ensure that the best interests of the students and community are assured as they move closer to a decision about the proposed project," according to the message.
