Mammograms and Manicures at the River Forest Medical Campus

Patients who schedule a mammogram April 17 will also be treated to two free spa services, refreshments and more.

The Breast Care Center at the River Forest Medical Campus wants to invite women to treat themselves to a spa outing – while also taking care of their health.

Patients who schedule a mammogram April 17 will also be treated to two free spa services, refreshments, a gift bag and be entered into a raffle for spa gifts and services. A scheduled appointment is required to participate in the spa day.

The River Forest Breast Care Center is especially reaching out to women who may be scheduling their first mammogram, inviting them to begin this yearly commitment to health by also enjoying the treat of a mini-spa outing.

“We all get busy in our lives but it’s important to remember to take care of ourselves,” said Alexis Florczak, Vice President of Outpatient Services for Vanguard Health Chicago. “The focus at the River Forest Breast Care Center is on health and helping women to take care of themselves everyday – and we just wanted to take the experience to the next level with our Manicures & Mammograms Spa Day.”

Those who are unable to schedule a mammogram on the River Forest Breast Care Center’s spa day can call before April 17 to schedule an appointment at a time convenient for them and still be entered into a raffle for spa gifts and services.

Breast cancer affects one in eight women during their lives. Early detection is key to saving lives, by finding cancer early when it is most treatable. With the latest technology and digital mammography available, mammograms are quick and easy – the screening only takes a few seconds and it can be lifesaving.

The American Cancer Society recommends screenings mammograms begin at age 40, and beginning as young as 35 for those with a family history of breast cancer.

To schedule a mammogram at the River Forest Breast Care Center, patients should call: 708-488-2300.

Prior to a mammogram appointment, patients should receive a referral from a primary physician.
