While we're working on a story about the debut of local chef David Johnson's new menu for the , we found it a good occasion to preview one of the tavern's new features: Breakfast.
That's right, starting on Saturday, the Kinderhook Tap will be open bright and early for breakfast. There are ten items on the breakfast menu, ranging from classic bacon and eggs and a breakfast wrap to a ham, cheese and fried egg-stuffed sweet potato waffle sandwich and an Italian strata, a breakfast bread pudding with sausage, red pepper and goat cheese.

Also, in a nod to the former NOLA's Cup coffee shop that Kinderhook took over a couple years back, they'll also serve beignets.
Kinderhook Tap, 800 S. Oak Park Ave., will serve breakfast from 7 a.m. until noon on Saturdays and Sundays.
